December 2025 was a truly unforgettable month In The Enchanted Forest. Filled with creativity, festive magic, community connection, and a few unexpected challenges that only added to the story.
We had a wonderful time transforming the shop into a magical Winter Wonderland with snowy trees, snowflakes, icicles, and more twinkling lights than Santa's village. It became a place where families could slow down, wander, and feel the joy of the season. We hosted kids’ Christmas craft sessions throughout December, welcoming little hands and big imaginations to create festive keepsakes and enjoy the magic of making.
Our First Christmas Market – Belmont City Christmas Carols
On 13th December, we took a big step outside the forest and into the wider community, hosting our very first market stall at the Belmont City Christmas Carols. It was an exciting milestone for us, as we showcased all three Enchanted Forest businesses together - Mosquita Miniatures, Potions & Wands, and Moon & Mushroom Magick.
True to our spirit, we decorated the stall just as we do the shop - lush vines, leafy details, and fairy lights transforming our space into a tiny pocket of enchantment among the festivities. With the generous help of our hubby's and Liv, we set everything up on what turned out to be an intense 39-degree day. Despite the heat, the atmosphere was joyful and uplifting. We loved meeting members of the Belmont community, introducing them to our shop, chatting between carols, and soaking up the Christmas spirit as music filled the air.
A Christmas Party to Remember
Our Christmas celebration the following day was everything we hoped for and more - a joyful day filled with music, laughter, creativity, and a wonderful sense of community.
The festivities began with the smooth sounds of live jazz by Josh and friends, setting the perfect atmosphere as visitors wandered through the shop. Children were delighted at the chance to meet our resident fairies, Emily, Madi and Liv, who spent the afternoon entertaining little ones and adding an extra sprinkle of enchantment to the celebrations. Fairy Circle joined us as well, offering beautiful face painting while families enjoyed free craft activities and explored the whimsical displays throughout the forest.
One of the most heartwarming parts of the day was seeing our family and friends come along to support us. It meant so much to share the space with the people who have encouraged us on this journey, and to celebrate alongside the wonderful community that has grown around the shop.
Of course, no great story comes without a little drama. The day was yet another scorching 39-degree summer day in Perth, but just as the party was in full swing, the skies suddenly turned dark, and an enormous electrical storm rolled in. Wind and rain swept through the area so fiercely that it nearly carried the band away with it! Guests quickly jumped in to help move instruments to safety, while the husbands heroically wrestled with the marquee to stop it from disappearing down the street.
At the height of the storm, a massive lightning strike knocked out power to the surrounding suburbs. For a moment, it felt as though the celebration might be over - but true to the spirit of The Enchanted Forest, we simply carried on. A little damp, a little windswept, but still smiling, we continued the festivities and made the most of a truly unforgettable day.
Looking back, it was one of those moments that perfectly captures what this place is all about: community, creativity, and a little bit of wild magic.
