Step through the door of The Enchanted Forest, and you’ll quickly discover that this is no ordinary shop. Tucked amongst the shelves and displays are little worlds of imagination - places where mermaids gather in hidden coves, witches reach through enchanted mirrors, fairies make their homes inside ancient trees, and Alice tumbles endlessly through time.
Over the past months, we’ve been quietly adding new magical features throughout the forest, each one lovingly handcrafted by the three dreamers who dwell in The Enchanted Forest: Anita, Sognia and Sarah.
These pieces are more than decorations; they are small stories woven into the space, inviting visitors to pause, explore, and discover something unexpected.
The Enchanted Mirror
One of the most mysterious additions to the shop is the Enchanted Mirror, created by Sognia. Framed within twisting woodland vines and leaves, the mirror seems to hold a secret of its own. Emerging from its depths is a vivid green witch’s hand, reaching out from another realm while holding a gleaming red poison apple.
Visitors often stop in their tracks when they notice it, half expecting the hand to move at any moment. It’s a playful nod to fairy tales and dark folklore - a reminder that not everything in the forest is quite what it seems.
Mermaid Cove
Created by Anita, Mermaid Cove is a shimmering underwater world brought to life through resin, shells, glittering sand and tiny treasures. The pond-like display forms the perfect home for our merfolk, sea creatures, and ocean spirits who now gather beneath the sparkling lights.
Children are especially drawn to this magical little ocean, spotting turtles, seahorses, mermaids and hidden sea treasures scattered throughout the display. It has quickly become one of the most enchanting corners of the shop.
The Enchanted Forest Door
Before visitors even step inside, the magic begins at the door. Sognia transformed our plain entrance into a painted pathway into the Enchanted Forest, complete with towering trees, woodland mushrooms, and a mysterious keyhole peering into another world.
The door now feels less like an entrance to a shop and more like a portal - inviting visitors to step out of the everyday and into something far more whimsical.
Alice and The Grandfather Clock
One of the newest creations comes from Sarah - a whimsical diorama inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Inside an ornate grandfather clock frame, Alice tumbles down the rabbit hole, drifting between playing cards, keys, roses and curious objects as if caught in a moment between worlds.
The scene captures the delightful strangeness of Wonderland - a place where gravity feels optional, and imagination runs wild.
.
The Pixie Surprise Machine
Tucked inside the forest is a little piece of playful mischief - the Pixie Surprise Ball Machine. We had fun converting an old, clunky yellow Gacha machine into a tree stump, which blended perfectly with our forest aesthetic.
Turn the handle and a colourful capsule appears, each one containing a tiny magical treasure waiting to be discovered.
It’s become a favourite with younger visitors, who approach the machine with wide eyes and excited anticipation. Even adults can’t resist giving it a turn.
.
The Guardian Tree
Watching over the forest is the Guardian Tree. With its twisting branches dressed in red and golden autumn leaves, the tree feels ancient and full of quiet wisdom. Perched watchfully amongst the branches is a wise owl, keeping a careful eye on all who pass beneath it.
The tree’s knotted bark trunk is full of hidden life. Look closely, and you’ll discover tiny fairies, pixies, sprites and woodland mushrooms nestled within its roots and hollows.
In our imaginations, the Guardian Tree stands as the protector of The Enchanted Forest - watching over the shop, the stories being created inside it, and the visitors who step into this little world of wonder.
One of the things we love most about The Enchanted Forest is that it is always evolving, with new magical corners appearing whenever inspiration strikes. If you find yourself curious about the mirror, the mermaids, the Guardian Tree or Alice’s curious fall through time, we warmly invite you to come and see them in person.
Wander through the forest, look closely at the details, and perhaps you’ll spot a fairy or two along the way. After all, the real magic of this place isn’t just what we create - it’s the wonder and imagination shared by everyone who walks through the door.
