A magical transformation

There is a little extra magic in the air at In The Enchanted Forest this month.

With Perth buzzing about the arrival of Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience, the team at In The Enchanted Forest has transformed the shop into a wizarding wonderland filled with magical creatures, enchanted artefacts and beloved treasures inspired by the Wizarding World.

What began as a simple idea quickly grew into an ambitious creative project, with the shop undergoing a remarkable transformation over the past week.

The team behind the magic

The display was truly a collaborative effort, with Sognia, Anita and Sarah spending countless hours planning, creating and styling the space. They were joined by their husbands, Damien, Geoff and Steve, along with Sarah's daughter Liv, who all pitched in to help move furniture, paint, build displays, hang decorations and bring the vision to life.

The weekend also provided a rare opportunity for everyone to pause and share a meal together. Surrounded by half-finished displays, decorations and creative chaos, it was a special moment to reflect on how far the project had come and celebrate the friendships that have helped shape In The Enchanted Forest into what it is today.

In the days leading up to the launch, Anita, Sognia and Sarah returned to add the finishing touches, joined by Sognia's dear friend Rhiannon from The Cracked Cauldron, whose collection of magical creatures and wizarding treasures has become an important part of the display.

Together, they have created something truly magical for visitors to enjoy.

Magical creatures and wizarding treasures

Throughout the display, visitors will discover pieces from the private collections of Sognia Vassalo of Potions & Wands and Rhiannon of The Cracked Cauldron, alongside a wonderful range of handcrafted creations available to purchase in-store.

While Sognia's collection pays homage to the Harry Potter stories, Rhiannon's collection celebrates the extraordinary creatures of Fantastic Beasts, creating a unique blend of wizarding nostalgia and magical discovery.

Keep your eyes peeled and you may spot a Niffler, Mooncalf, Demiguise, Bowtruckle or Puffskein hidden amongst the displays. Visitors can also marvel at a true-to-size Nimbus 2000, Hedwig in her cage, magical books, wizarding artefacts and countless other treasures tucked throughout the shop.

Keep an eye out for one particularly special resident of the display – a life-sized Dobby who has already stolen the hearts of everyone involved in creating the exhibit. Visitors are encouraged to stop by, say hello and capture a magical photo with everyone's favourite house elf before continuing their journey through the wizarding wonderland.

Adding to the excitement, Channel 10 News visited In The Enchanted Forest this week to feature Sognia Vassalo's Potions & Wands business and showcase the craftsmanship and creativity behind her magical creations.

The team was also honoured with an invitation to attend the VIP Preview Event for Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience, joining fellow fans and creators in celebrating one of Perth's most anticipated magical events.

More than anything, the display is a celebration of imagination, creativity and community. It reflects the passion of the makers, collectors, family members and friends who worked together to create something truly special for visitors to enjoy.

Whether you're a lifelong fan of the Wizarding World, a lover of magical creatures, or simply looking for a little wonder in your day, In The Enchanted Forest invites you to step inside the shop at 21 Love Street, Cloverdale and experience the magic for yourself.

The magic is waiting.
